Forms can be downloaded from the Internal Revenue Service for no cost at
http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/formspubs/index.html.
However, there are companies who provide both free or paid tax form services that usually make downloading forms easier.
These services also typically provide several alternate formats for delivering the forms to you, including by email and fax.
We recommend FormSend.com
as an excellent resource for IRS Forms and publications, as well as real estate and business forms.
There are several methods you can use to contact the Internal Revenue Service. Two of the more immediate methods
are by phone (1-800-829-1040) or by e-mail at
http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/contact/index.html.
Where you file your return is dependent on where you live. To determine where to file for your location, go to
http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/file/index.html.
The Internal Revenue Service does not presently offer tracking for your return; however, if you expect a refund,
you can contact their Automated Refund Service at 1-800-829-4477 six weeks after you've filed your return. (If you filed
electronically, you can check in three weeks).
If you use IRS efile to electronically send your tax return to the IRS, you will get your tax refund in three
weeks, half the time it takes if you filed a paper return. If you filed a printed tax return, you can expect a refund in six
weeks.
The Internal Revenue Service now allows you to pay your taxes with Discover®, Mastercard®, or
American Express®. We recommend paying your taxes using
Pay1040, approved by the
Internal Revenue Service, to pay your taxes electronically by credit card. Click
